Why International Surrogacy in Ukraine?
At this time, we have chosen to establish our Surrogacy program in Ukraine because Ukraine is one of the few countries to allow international surrogacy, with legislation making it advantageous for foreigners to pursue surrogacy there rather than in their home country.
- According to Ukrainian legislation, surrogate mothers are not able to choose to keep the child after birth.
- In Ukraine the cost of surrogacy is 50-60% less than the cost of the same program in the United States.
- The availability of young, healthy surrogate mothers is much greater than the U.S. There is currently no waiting time for our clients.
- All prospective surrogate mothers are under 30 years of age and in excellent health.
- Upon birth of the child the biological family's name is put on the birth certificate.
About International Surrogacy
International surrogacy has, until recently, been most common throughout Europe. We are the first U.S. based agency to have an established surrogacy program in Eastern Europe. We have exclusive rights to work with 2 prominent clinics that have many years of experience.
Ukraine, a beautiful country the size of France, is located between Russia and the countries of Eastern Europe. Ukraine was once part of the Soviet Union and is now its own nation. The population is Slavic, like that of Russia, and speaks Ukrainian and Russian languages.
In 2007 one hundred and fifty foreign families successfully completed a surrogate pregnancy program in Ukraine.
International Surrogacy Partners' program works in cooperation with the best clinics and assisted reproductive centers, which are owned and operated by world renowned physicians. We also work closely with an experienced team of legal professionals who specialize in facilitating international surrogacies. We collaborate with this team of support staff from the beginning of your surrogacy process through the birth of your child in order to make your process as simple as possible.
Types of Surrogacy
There are three surrogacy options available for intended parents. The options vary only in terms of which intended parent is genetically related to the child, if at all. The surrogate mother is never related to the child.
- Gestational Surrogacy, with Egg Donor. The intended father provides sperm in vitro. After fertilization, the embryos are transferred to the surrogate's uterus to carry the child to term.
- Gestational Surrogacy, with the Intended Mother's Egg. A sperm donor is provided in vitro. After fertilization, the embryos are transferred to the surrogate's uterus to carry the child to term. This is a viable option for single women.

About The Surrogates and Egg Donors
It is of paramount importance to us that our surrogate mothers be accorded the full respect, dignity, and recognition of the valued partner that they are.
At International Surrogacy Partners each family is provided with several choices of surrogate mother. All surrogate mothers must complete an extensive health evaluation prior to being matched with a family. Health evaluations and personal histories of potential surrogates are provided to the family prior to their first trip to Ukraine. All surrogate mothers must be under 30 years of age and have at least one biological child of their own.
The intended parents will also be presented with Egg Donor information including, pictures, age, profession, height, weight and other details. Most egg donors are women between ages 25 – 35 who already have children.
