Embryo Adoption Process

Upon inquiry, one of the International Surrogacy Partners' (ISP) staff members will review our program thoroughly with you.  You will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about Embryo Adoption and Donation in Ukraine.

Once your application has been submitted, each applicant will be scheduled for a free in-office (or by phone, if distance precludes a face to face meeting) consultation with the Executive Director of ISP in order to provide a personalized evaluation of your needs and inform you of the options that are available and appropriate for you.

Upon signing a retainer agreement each client will be required to complete several documents, including copies of medical reports from your doctor, designed to help us better understand your personal history and surrogacy needs.  The completed documents will be sent to our partners in Ukraine for review. If the intended parent(s) apply for Embryo Adoption, the Ukrainian medical clinic will start the process of selecting an embryo. ISP clients will be able to obtain medical and personal history of the egg and sperm donor for the embryo they will use. Meanwhile the intended mother will work with an American doctor of her choice and receive hormonal treatment to prepare her body for the transfer of the embryo. When the time comes, the intended mother will travel to Ukraine. The length of the trip to Ukraine is approximately 3 days. During this trip, the intended mother will sign a contract with the surrogate center and medical clinic, and will undergo the procedure of embryo implantation.  After the process is complete and the intended mother has a day of rest, she can return to the U.S.

Embryo Donation Process
During the Embryo Donation process, the intended parent(s) will be able to choose the egg donor and sperm donor prior to travel. The family will be able to obtain medical and personal history of the egg and sperm donor. The selected egg donor will go through all preliminary exams in Ukraine, while the intended mother is preparing in the U.S.  The intended mother will travel to Kiev only when all necessary medical procedures and preparation have been completed. This process will be structured and executed with constant communication between the Kiev medical clinic, ISP and the intended parent(s). The length of the stay in Ukraine is approximately 3 days.

In the embryo donation and embryo adoption programs, the intended mother can choose to go through medical tests, evaluation, and synchronization of cycles in Kiev’s medical clinic rather than the United States. In this case the overall stay in Ukraine will be approximately one month.
